THE MARSHALL AREA YMCA INSTILLS THE VALUES OF CARING, HONESTY, RESPECT AND RESPONSIBILITY THROUGH PROGRAMS AND SERVICES THAT BUILD A HEALTH SPIRIT, MIND AND BODY FOR ALL. THE MARSHALL AREA YMCA IS A CHARITABLE, COMMUNITY SERVICE ORGANIZATION THAT INCLUDES MEN, WOMEN, AND CHILDREN OF ALL AGES, ABILITIES, INCOMES, RACES AND RELIGIONS. WE ARE DEDICATED TO BUILDING STRONG KIDS, STRONG FAMILIES AND STRONG COMMUNITIES BY INSTILLING THE VALUES OF CARING, HONESTY, RESPECT AND RESPONSIBILITY THROUGH PROGRAMS AND SERVICES THAT BUILD HEALTHY SPIRIT, MIND AND BODY FOR ALL. MEMBERSHIP - INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES JOIN THE MARSHALL AREA YMCA AS MEMBERS TO BE HEALTHY IN SPIRIT, MIND AND BODY. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE WITH FEES IS PROVIDED FOR THOSE WHO HAVE FINANCIAL NEED.
AQUATICS - TEACHES SPECIFIC SWIMMING SKILLS, PERSONAL SAFETY, TEAMWORK, AND CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT PRIMARILY TO CHILDREN.
FITNESS AND SPORTS - HELPS PEOPLE OF ALL AGES AND ABILITIES DEVELOP HEALTH IN SPRIIT, MIND AND BODY. PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO HELP PEOPLE CREATE REALISTIC GOALS FOR SELF-IMPROVEMENT AND DISEASE PREVENTION. SPORT PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH AND ADULTS PROMOTE TEAMWORK, INTERACTION AND CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. WE OFFER A VARIETY OF HEALTH, FITNESS AND SPORT RELATED ACTIVITIES INCLUDING WATER AEROBICS FOR OLDER ADULTS.
THE YMCA IS THE LEADING NONPROFIT COMMITTED TO STRENGTHENING COMMUNITY BY CONNECTING ALL PEOPLE TO THEIR POTENTIAL, PURPOSE, AND EACH OTHER. WORKING LOCALLY IN THE MARSHALL AREA WE FOCUS ON EMPOWERING YOUNG PEOPLE, IMPROVING HEALTH AND WELL-BEING, AND INSPIRING ACTION IN AND ACROSS COMMUNITIES. THE YMCA IS A COMMUNITY HUB FOR WELLNESS, SOCIAL GATHERINGS, MEETINGS, EDUCATION AND PROGRAMMING FOR ALL AGES. THE YMCA IS ACCESSIBLE TO ALL THROUGH THE Y PARTNERS SCHOLARSHIP FUND. LOCAL INDIVIDUALS AND BUSINESSES CONTRIBUTE FUNDS WHICH IN TURN PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS TO SUPPORT THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY. THE YMCA SERVES SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN THROUGH A VARIETY OF AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM OPPORTUNITIES, SUMMER DAY CAMPS, SPORTS LEAGUES, EDUCATIONAL / STEM ACTIVITIES, ARTS AND HUMANITIES SESSIONS, AND WELLNESS CLASSES. THE YMCA PARTNERS WITH OVER 30 LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE BLOOD DRIVES, DIABETES PREVENTION CLASSES, ALZEIMHER'S SUPPORT, CPR AND FIRST AID TRAINING, LIFEGUARD TRAINING, PERSONAL TRAINING, KINDNESS RETREATS, PARENTING SUPPORT, MENTORING OPPORTUNITIES AND MUCH MORE. THE YMCA IS A COMMUNITY LEADER IN SUPPORTING OTHER PUBLIC SERVICE ORGANZATIONS BY SERVING AS THE FISCAL HOST OF THE MARSHALL AREA FARMERS MARKET AND HEALTHY 56258, A GRASSROOTS, VOLUNTEER LEAD COALITION WITH A MISSION TO CREATE A HEALTHIER COMMUNITY FOR ALL. THE YMCA WORKS CLOSELY WITH THE IMMIGRANT / NEWCOMER POPULATION TO PROVIDE CULTURALLY APPROPRIATE PROGRAMMING AND OPPORTUNITIES. THIS INCLUDES A FUTSAL PROGRAM WHICH IS FACILITATED AFTER NORMAL OPERATING HOURS. THE YMCA PROVIDES A WIDE ARRAY OF OPPORTUNITIES FOR SERVING THE UNIQUE NEEDS OF THE INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN THE MARSHALL AREA. CHILDCARE, EDUCATION, PLAY, WELLNESS, SOCIAL INTERACTIONS, AND VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES ABOUND. THE YMCA SERVES THE MEDICARE ELIGIBLE POPULATION THROUGH PROGRAMMING WHICH MEETS THEIR UNIQUE NEEDS. THE YMCA CONTRACTS WITH INSURANCE PROVIDERS WHICH PROVIDE COST EFFECTIVE OPTIONS FOR PARTICIPATION.
