METROPOLITAN ALLIANCE OF CONNECTED COMMUNITIES IS A MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATION, WITH APPROXIMATELY 55 NONPROFIT SOCIAL-SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS PARTICIPATING AS MEMBERS. MACC MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS SERVE A DIVERSE POPULATION IN THE 7-COUNTY METROPOLITAN AREA SURROUNDING MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA, WITH AN EMPHASIS ON SERVING LOW-INCOME RESIDENTS AND NEIGHBORHOODS. COLLECTIVELY, MACC MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS EMPLOY MORE THAN 5,900 INDIVIDUALS AND PROVIDE SERVICES TO APPROXIMATELY 450,000 INDIVIDUALS ANNUALLY. MACC MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS COLLECTIVELY OPERATE A SHARED-SERVICE ORGANIZATION WHICH SERVES AS AN EMPLOYER FOR SHARED STAFF.
