NEMAA PRESENTS ART-A-WHIRL (AAW) IN NORTHEAST MINNEAPOLIS ANNUALLY DURING THE THIRD WEEKEND OF MAY. DURING AAW, PRIVATE STUDIOS AND GALLERIES ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, CREATING A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY FOR ARTISTS AND COMMUNITY TO CONNECT. OVER 800 NEMAA ARTISTS MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN 60 LOCATIONS, AND HUNDREDS OF LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS AND BUSINESSES BECOME MEMBERS AND ADVERTISERS. NEMAA PRINTS 20,000 ARTISTS DIRECTORIES/AAW GUIDES TO DISTRIBUTE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, COORDINATES FREE TROLLEYS AND INFO STATIONS. PARTICIPATING ARTISTS: 800. ESTIMATED NUMBER OF VISITORS: 80,000-100,000. THE 2022 ART-A-WHIRL WAS A FULL RETURN TO IN-PERSON PROGRAMMING.
