IOWA ARTS-IN-EDUCATION DBA ARTFORCE IOWA IS A 501(C)3 NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION BASED IN DES MOINES, IOWA. FOUNDED IN 2012, ARTFORCE IOWA HAS A MISSION TO TRANSFORM YOUTH IN NEED THROUGH ART. ARTFORCE IOWA IS HOME TO THREE PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH AGES 12-19: PATHWAYS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE INVOLVED IN THE COURT SYSTEM AND HEROES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE WHO ARE IMMIGRANTS, REFUGEES OR FIRST GENERATION AMERICANS. THE ARTFORCE EVERYWHERE PROGRAM MEETS YOUNG PEOPLE WHERE THEY ARE AND PROVIDES ARTS-BASED WORKSHOPS FOR MOOD REGULATION. ARTFORCE IOWA SEEKS TO BUILD SELF-ESTEEM AND RESILIENCE THROUGH THE CREATIVE POWER OF ART. WE CALL OUR PROGRAMS SUPPORTIVE ART COMMUNITIES, BECAUSE WE SEEK TO SUPPORT THE WHOLE CHILD, WHETHER THEY NEED ACCESS TO BASIC NECESSITIES, HELP MANAGING STRESS, GUIDANCE ON AN ART PROJECT OR A LISTENING EAR.
