THE MISSION OF THE ZUMBROTA AREA ARTS COUNCIL IS TO SUPPORT EDUCATIONAL AND ARTISTIC DEVELOPMENT; TO ENCOURAGE PARTICIPATION BY ALL; TO ENHANCE THE GENERAL PUBLIC'S AWARENESS AND APPRECIATION FOR THE ARTS THROUGH EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND ARTS-RELATED ACTIVITIES; CULTIVATE LOCAL TALENT BY PROVIDING EXPOSURE OPPORTUNITIES FOR LOCAL ARTISTS AND COOPERATE WITH LOCAL SCHOOLS AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS WHO SHARE THIS PURPOSE.

STATE THEATRE - THE ZUMBROTA AREA ARTS COUNCIL PURCHASED THE STATE THEATRE IN ZUMBROTA, MN AT THE END OF DECEMBER 2011 AND BEGAN OPERATIONS IN JANUARY 2012.THE THEATRE IS A VALUABLE ASSET TO THE ARTS IN THE ZUMBROTA AREA AND IS BEING USED FOR PERFORMING ARTS, CONCERTS, FILMS, READINGS ETC.
MUSIC IN THE PARK - NINE CONCERTS ARE HELD ON TUESDAY EVENINGS DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS.THESE CONCERTS ARE HELD IN EAST PARK, IN ZUMBROTA, MN. ICE CREAM IS GIVEN AWAY TO THE AUDIENCE.
ART ON MAIN - THIS EVENT STARTED IN 2013 TO SHOWCASE AREA ARTISTS USING BANNERS WHICH HANG ON THE LIGHT POLES IN DOWNTOWN ZUMBROTA, MN DURING THE SUMMER. THE BANNERS ARE SPONSORED BY LOCAL BUSINESSES. AN AUCTION EVENT IS HELD AT THE END OF THE SUMMER TO AUCTION THE BANNERS AND ORIGINAL ART PIECES TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. THE PROCEEDS FROM THIS EVENT ARE BEING PUT TOWARD THE RENOVATION OF THE STATE THEATRE.
