AS A PROVIDER OF LIFE-AFFIRMING SOCIAL SERVICES, COUNSELING, AND LIMITED MEDICAL SERVICES, GUIDING STAR WAKOTA IN 2021: * WELCOMED 665 NEW CLIENTS. * REGISTERED 3,580 TOTAL CLIENT VISITS. * PROVIDED 186 PREGNANCY TESTS AND 135 ULTRASOUNDS. * DELIVERED 451 EDUCATION CLASSES, WITH CLIENTS MOST OFTEN PARTICIPATING IN CLASSES RELATED TO CAR SEAT SAFETY AND LIFE COACHING. THE NUMBER OF CLIENTS PARTICIPATING IN NUTRITION CLASSES INCREASED 189% OVER 2020.IN ADDITION TO PROVIDING PREGNANT WOMEN AND NEW MOTHERS WITH MATERIAL ASSISTANCE - INCLUDING FREE DIAPERS, BABY CLOTHING, AND STROLLERS - GUIDING STAR WAKOTA OFFERS AN ON-SITE SUPERVISED PLAYROOM AND THE SERVICES OF A SOCIAL WORKER.IN 2020, CONSTRUCTION BEGAN ON A SIGNIFICANTLY LARGER BUILDING THAT ENABLES GUIDING STAR WAKOTA TO EXPAND SERVICES TO WOMEN AND FAMILIES AND SERVE A BROADER CLIENTELE.
