PROVIDES EDUCATION, TRAINING, ACCREDITATION, AND SOCIAL GATHERINGS TO PROFESSIONALS SKATERS IN AN EFFORT TO EDUCATE AND ADVISE ALL PERSONS IN ALL PHASES OF ICE SKATING AND TO PROMOTE PROFICIENCY IN EVERY PHASE OF INSTRUCTION, COACHING AND TEACHING OF ICE SKATING. THE ORGANIZATION IS THE OFFICIAL COACHING ARM TO THE U.S. FIGURE SKATING (USFS) AND THE ICE SKATING INSTITUTE (ISI).

ANNUAL CONFERENCE AND TRADE SHOW - THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE IS A 3-DAY EVENT FILLED WITH INTENSE LEARNING, TECHNICAL UPDATING, PROFESSIONAL REASSURANCES AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES. PRESENTATIONS ARE GIVEN IN ALL DISCIPLINES, BOTH ON AND OFF-ICE. KEYNOTE SPEAKERS AND SPECIAL GUESTS ARE HIGHLIGHTED. ALL WRITTEN EXAMS AND ORAL RATINGS EXAMS ARE OFFERED.
EDUCATIONAL STATE WORKSHOPS AND SEMINARS - SEMINARS ARE 1-DAY SEMINARS FEATURING A GUEST COACH PRESENTING ON AND OFF-ICE TOPICS. VARIOUS DISCIPLINES ARE INCLUDED AND EACH YEAR A SPORT SCIENCE FOCUS IS HIGHLIGHTED. STATE WORKSHOPS ARE HALF-DAY WORKSHOPS HELD IN EVERY STATE AT VARIOUS TIMES OF THE YEAR. MANY ARE HELD IN-OFFICE AND INCLUDE TOPICS RELEVANT TO THAT SPECIFIC STATE. COACHES ARE ENCOURAGED TO COMMUNICATE AND LEARN FROM EACH OTHER.
RATINGS IS A FORM OF OUR ACCREDIDATION PROCESS. MEMBERS ARE TESTED BY A PANEL OF MASTER RATED PEERS TO DETERMINE THE COACHES KNOWLEDGE AT VARIOUS SKILL LEVELS (REGISTERED, CERTIFIED, SENIOR, AND MASTER) IN SELECT DISCIPLINES. RATINGS ARE HELD AT MULTIPLE SITES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. THIS PROCESS HELPS TO FUTHER DEVELOP STRONGER COACHING MEMBERS AND BUILD THE POOL OF MENTORS IN OUR MEMBERSHIP. THE RATINGS PREP PROCESS IS A FORM OF PRE-TESTING AND TEST PREP FOR THE RATINGS PROCESS. THE PREP PROCESS IS A TWO DAY COURSE TO PREPARE COACHES FOR THE RATINGS PROCESS. PREP IS HELD 2-3 TIMES PER YEAR IN VARIOUS CITIES.
