MENTAL HEALTH MINNESOTA IS THE VOICE OF LIVED MENTAL HEALTH EXPENIENCE. WE CARRY THAT DECLARATION FORWARD AS WE WORK TO ADVANCE MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING FOR ALL, INCREASE ACCESS TO MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT AND SERVICES, AND PROVIDE EDUCATION, RESOURCES AND SUPPORT ACROSS MN.

988 PROGRAM - MENTAL HEALTH MINNESOTA JOINED THE NATIONWIDE NETWORK OF PROVIDERS FOR THE 988 SUICIDE AND CRISIS LIFELINE IN 2023, ONE OF FIVE LIFELINE CENTERS IN MINNESOTA. THE ORGANIZATION RESPONDS TO TEXTS AND CHATS COMING INTO 988, OPERATING 24/7. HANDLED 1,800 CHATS/TEXTS IN 2023.


MINNESOTA WARMLINE - A STATEWIDE SAFE, ANONYMOUS AND CONFIDENTIAL PHONE/TEXT LINE THAT PROVIDES PEOPLE WHO ARE WORKING ON THEIR MENTAL HEALTH RECOVERY WITH AN OPPORTUNITY TO CONNECT WITH OTHERS, FIND SUPPORT, REDUCE SOCIAL ISOLATION, AND TALK ABOUT THEIR CONCERNS. THE WARMLINE USES A PEER-TO-PEER APPROACH, AND IS ANSWERED BY A PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED STAFF OF CERTIFIED PEER SPECIALISTS WHO HAVE FIRST-HAND, PERSONAL EXPERIENCE LIVING WITH A MENTAL HEALTH CONDITION. THE WARMLINE HAD 14,213 CALLS/TEXTS IN 2023, AND IS A TOOL THAT HELPS MANY PEOPLE BEFORE THEY REACH A POINT OF CRISIS.


EDUCATION - SERVES TO EDUCATE INDIVIDUALS LIVING WITH MENTAL ILLNESS, THEIR FAMILIES, EDUCATORS IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES, STUDENTS AND YOUTH, MEMBERS OF FAITH COMMUNITIES AND SYNAGOGUES, EMPLOYEES AND EMPLOYERS, PROFESSIONAL PROVIDERS, AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN ORDER TO REDUCE THE STIGMA ASSOCIATED WITH MENTAL ILLNESS, ENCOURAGE MENTAL HEALTH EARLY SCREENING AND TREATMENT, AND TO PROMOTE MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLNESS.
