MYRIDE PROGRAM WHICH PROVIDES TRANSPORTATION SERVICES FOR SENIORS THAT HAVE NO OTHER MEANS OF GETTING NECESSARY TRANSPORTATION TO MEET THEIR NEEDS.
YOUTH VOLUNTEER CORPS OF AMERICA. THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES SUMMER CAMPS FOR STUDENTS TO DEVELOP VOLUNTEERING SKILLS IN VARIOUS AREAS. THE CAMPS COVER TOPICS LIKE WORKING WITH SENIORS AT CARE FACILITIES, URBAN GARDENING, COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS, AND ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES TO NAME A FEW.
RETIRED SENIOR VOLUNTEER PROGRAM (RSVP) THIS PROGRAM HAS FOUR FOCUS AREAS. 1) HEALTHY FUTURES FOR WHICH WE PROVIDE MEALS ON WHEELS 2) FOR WHICH WE PROVIDE TUTORS AND MENTORS FOR AREA SCHOOLS 3) DISASTER SERVICES FOR WHICH WE PROVIDE VOLUNTEERS WITH RADIO COMMUNICATION AND DISASTER TRAINING SKILLS 4) VETERANS ASSISTANCE SERVICES.
