Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3 - Line 4a

HUDSON COMMUNITY CHILDREN'S CENTER RETURNED TO PRE-PANDEMIC ENROLLMENTS IN 2021. WE HAD INTERMITTENT COVID OUTBREAKS WERE SPECIFIC CLASSROOMS NEEDED TO BE QUARANTINED OR STUDENTS NEED TO BE TESTED BEFORE RETURNING FROM A POSITIVE EXPOSURE. GUIDELINES BECAME LESS RESTRICTIVE THROUGH BOTH PUBLIC HEALTH AND THE DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES THAT REGULATE CHILDCARE CENTERS. OUR 4K PROGRAM STARTED THE YEAR WITH VOLUNTARY MASKING UNLESS A CHILD WAS DIRECTLY EXPOSED AND THEN THEY HAD TO QUARANTINE FOR LESS TIME BEFORE RETURNING. WE WERE ABLE TO HAVE ALL IN PERSON LEARNING WHICH IS EXTREMELY BENEFICIAL TO THE SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF FOUR AND FIVE YEAR OLD CHILDREN. WISCONSIN DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES, OUR LICENSING AGENCY, HAS CONTINUED TO BE SUPPORTIVE TO CHILDCARE CENTERS AND EARLY CHILDHOOD FUNDING. IT HAS PROVIDED STIPENDS TO QUALIFIED CENTERS TO SUPPLEMENT WORKFORCE RECRUITMENT & RETENTION AS WELL AS GRANTS FOR FACILITY UPKEEP AND UPGRADES. WECA, THE WISCONSIN EARLY CHILDHOOD ASSOCIATION HAS ALSO MADE FUNDS AVAILABLE TO TEACHERS AND EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANTS AS RECOGNITION FOR THEIR VALUABLE SERVICE. HUDSON COMMUNITY CHILDREN'S CENTER HAS MET ALL GUIDELINES AND BEEN ABLE TO UTILIZE THIS FUNDING.
