TO SUPPORT RESEARCH FOR THE ELIMINATION AND PREVENTION OF CHILDHOOD CANCER AND RELATED BLOOD DISORDERS THROUGH THE EFFORTS OF THE MEDICAL COLLEGE OF WISCONSIN, CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL OF WISCONSIN, AND UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN'S PAUL CARBONE COMPREHENSIVE CANCER CENTER, AS DISTRIBUTED BY THE MACC FUND, INC.

SUPPORT OF WOMEN FOR MACC BENEFITED ONGOING CRITICAL CHILDHOOD CANCER AND RELATED BLOOD DISORDERS RESEARCH MADE POSSIBLE THROUGH THE MACC FUND. THE ROAD TOWARD A CURE IS A LONG ONE, BUT SINCE OUR FOUNDING IN 1982, WE HAVE HELPED TO SHORTEN THE JOURNEY BY CONTRIBUTING MORE THAN $5.5 MILLION TO THE MACC FUND FOR CRUCIAL CHILDHOOD CANCER AND RELATED BLOOD DISORDER RESEARCH. WE CAN ASSURE OUR DONORS THAT 100% OF WOMEN FOR MACC'S INVESTMENT IN RESEARCH STAYS IN WISCONSIN, WITH THE VAST MAJORITY REMAINING IN MILWAUKEE AT THE MEDICAL COLLEGE OF WISCONSIN AND CHILDREN'S WISCONSIN. RESEARCH EFFORTS HERE PROVIDE REAL HOPE TO CHILDREN AND THE FAMILIES FACING A CANCER OR RELATED BLOOD DISORDER DIAGNOSIS. YOUR SUPPORT IMPACTS THE LIVES OF CHILDREN WITH CANCER AND RELATED BLOOD DISORDERS EVERYWHERE, AS TREATMENT PROTOCOLS DEVELOPED HERE BECOME THE STANDARD OF PATIENT CARE COAST-TO-COAST.AFTER MUCH CONSIDERATION, WE HAVE CONCLUDED THAT IT IS TIME TO REFOCUS OUR TIME, TALENT, AND EFFORTS TO EVEN BETTER SERVE OUR MISSION TO BRING HOPE TO FAMILIES THROUGH RESEARCH AND AWARENESS TO END CHILDHOOD CANCER AND RELATED BLOOD DISORDERS. WOMEN FOR MACC WILL DISSOLVE AND BECOME A COMMITTEE OF AMBASSADORS FOR THE MACC FUND, EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 31, 2022.
