THE MISSION OF THE MILWAUKEE BAR ASSOCIATION IS TO BE AN INCLUSIVE, EQUITABLE AND DIVERSE ORGANIZATION THAT SERVES THE INTERESTS OF THE LAWYERS, JUDGES AND THE PEOPLE OF MILWAUKEE COUNTY BY WORKING TO PROMOTE THE PROFESSIONAL INTERESTS OF THE LOCAL BENCH AND BAR; ENCOURAGE COLLEGIALITY, PUBLIC SERVICE AND PROFESSIONALISM ON THE PART OF THE LAWYERS OF SOUTHEASTERN WISCONSIN; IMPROVE ACCESS TO JUSTICE FOR THOSE LIVING AND WORKING IN MILWAUKEE COUNTY; SUPPORT THE COURTS OF MILWAUKEE COUNTY IN THE ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE; AND INCREASE PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE CRUCIAL ROLE THAT THE LAW PLAYS IN THE LIVES OF THE PEOPLE OF MILWAUKEE COUNTY.

THE MILWAUKEE BAR ASSOCIATION PROVIDES OVER 100 HOURS OF CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION CREDIT TO KEEP ATTORNEYS UPDATED ON NEW PROGRESS IN THE LEGAL FIELD AS WELL AS HELP THEM EARN CREDIT TO MAINTAIN THEIR LICENSE.
THE MILWAUKEE BAR ASSOCIATION'S LAWYER REFERRAL AND INFORMATION SERVICE PROVIDES BOTH ACCESS TO THE PUBLIC TO LOCATE AN APPROPRIATE ATTORNEY TO ASSIST THEM WITH THEIR LEGAL NEEDS AS WELL AS A REVENUE SOURCE VIA REFERRALS FOR LOCAL PRACTICING ATTORNEYS.
THE MILWAUKEE BAR ASSOCIATION'S MEETINGS AND EVENTS PROVIDE OPPORTUNTIES FOR MEMBERS TO INTERFACE AND OBTAIN AN IMPORTANT CONNECTION WITH THEIR COLLEAGUES ACROSS LEGAL FIELDS. ATTORNEYS CAN BECOME ISOLATED IN THE INCREASINGLY TECHNICAL WORLD AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO CONNECT IS IMPORTANT FOR CAREER GROWTH AS WELL AS MENTAL HEALTH.
