MUSKEGON AREA FIRST IS A COUNTYWIDE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION FOCUSED ON LEVERAGING PUBLIC AND PRIVATE INVESTMENT TO ACCELERATE BUSINESS GROWTH AND THE CREATION OF HIGH-QUALITY EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN MUSKEGON COUNTY. FOUNDED IN 1999 BY AREA BUSINESS AND GOVERNMENTAL LEADERS, MUSKEGON AREA FIRST IS THE LEAD AGENCY FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS IN THE AREA.

PROMOTION OF THE MUSKEGON AREA AS A GREAT LOCATION TO LIVE AND WORK. THIS IS DONE BY DEVELOPING COMMUNITY PROGRAMS, SEMINARS AND WORKING WITH LOCAL MUNICIPALITIES, THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND BUSINESSES TO PROMOTE LOCAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT. MORE THAN 300 ORGANIZATIONS SERVED.
FARM IS AN EDUCATIONAL AND BUSINESS ACCELERATOR/INCUBATOR FACILITY AND PROGRAMS FOCUSED ON DEVELOPMENT OF FOOD PROCESSING STEM CAREERS AND BUSINESS START-UPS IN WEST MICHIGAN. MAF HAS ASSISTED THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION FOR MUSKEGON COUNTY WITH THE CONSTRUCTION AND LAUNCH OF THE FACILITY AND PROGRAMMING.
