MACOMB LITERACY PARTNERS (MLP) PROVIDES LITERACY SERVICES FOR MACOMB COUNTY RESIDENTS. MLP'S PRIMARY FUNCTION IS ONE-ON-ONE TUTORING FOR INDIVIDUALS AT THE MOST BASIC LITERACY LEVELS, WHO SPEAK ENGLISH OR ANOTHER LANGUAGE. WE ALSO COORDINATE CONVERSATION GROUPS FOR OUR STUDENTS TO PRACTICE THEIR SKILLS. MLP SERVES FAMILIES OF MACOMB COUNTY BY COORDINATING READ TO ME, ROSCO! EVENTS FOR PARENTS AND CHILDREN TO READ TOGETHER. MLP ALSO WORKS EXTENSIVELY WITH LOCAL ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS AND COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATIONS. SINCE 1984, MLP HAS HELPED OVER 4,000 ADULTS IN MACOMB COUNTY WITH ONE-ON-ONE TUTORING ALONE.
