SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES INCLUDE PROVIDING EDUCATION ON THE CHARACTERISTICS AND NEEDS OF MICHIGAN'S OLDER POPULATION AND YOUNGER POPULATION WITH DISABILITIES, AND CREATING AND EXPANDING PROGRAMS BENEFITING OLDER ADULTS AND YOUNGER PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES.

MEMBERSHIP SERVICES HOSTING MONTHLY MEMBER MEETINGS, RETREATS, AND OTHER MEETINGS, PRODUCING WEEKLY E-NEWSLETTERS FOR MEMBERS, PROVIDING INFORMATION ABOUT MEMBER AGENCIES TO LEGISLATORS, STATE OFFICIALS, NONPROFIT GROUPS, OLDER ADULTS, CAREGIVERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC, REPRESENTING MEMBERS IN MEETINGS WITH STATE OFFICIALS AND NONPROFIT GROUPS.
STRATEGIC INITIATIVE COMMITTEE IS A PROGRAM TO SUPPORT A FUTURE ENTITY THAT WILL FORM OUT OF THE ASSOCIATION TO FURTHER SERVICES TO THE 16 AREA AGENCIES.
