THE WHEATLAND MUSIC ORGANIZATION HOLDS A TRADITIONAL ARTS WEEKEND TO TEACH AND PROMOTE TRADITIONAL ARTS, DANCE AND MUSIC (THE EVENT WAS CANCELED DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.)
THE WHEATLAND MUSIC ORGANIZATION PRESENTS TRADITIONAL MUSIC AND ARTS IN THE LOCAL SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITIES. (THESE PRESENTATIONS WERE LIMITED DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.)
THE ELYCE FISHMAN SCHOLARSHIP FUND PROVIDES FUNDING TO ENABLE RESIDENTS (PRIMARILY YOUTH) IN THE MID-MICHIGAN AREA TO ENHANCE THEIR PERSONAL GROWTH AND EDUCATION IN THE AREAS OF TRADITIONAL MUSIC, DANCE, ARTS AND CRAFTS. MUSICAL PROGRAMS (HELP UNDERWRITE ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR CMU PUBLIC BROADCASTING OF TRADITIONAL MUSIC); WHEATSCOUTS PROVIDE ACTIVITIES FOR MORE THAN 200 YOUTH; JAMBOREES SERVE ABOUT 200 PEOPLE. THE MUSIC AND DANCE CAMP IS DEDICATED TO PROVIDING AN IMMERSIVE MUSICAL AND EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE FOR THOSE LOOKING TO ENHANCE THEIR CURRENT SKILLS AND/OR BUILD A SOLID FOUNDATION IN A NEW AREA.
