CHOPIN HALL IS A FOOD PANTRY. IN 2021 FOOD WAS PROVIDED FOR 245,775 MEALS OR APPROXIMATELY 673 MEALS PER DAY. FOOD IS DISTRIBUTED AT OUR LOCATION IN THE FAMILY CENTER AND BY COLLABORATION WITH THE WEST OHIO FOOD BANK WITH MOBILE FOOD PANTRIES AT CHURCHES, SCHOOLS AND BUSINESSES. NO CASH IS GIVEN TO CLIENTS, VOUCHERS ARE GIVEN FOR MILK.
CHOPIN HALL ALSO RECEIVES DONATED CLOTHING, SOME NEW, MOSTLY USED. WE ALSO PURCHASE A LIMITED AMOUNT OF NEW CLOTHING AND PROVIDE THIS TO NEEDY INDIVIDUALS. CLOTHING IN EXCESS OF THE AGENCIES NEEDS IS DONATED TO OTHER CHARITIES. CHOPIN HALL ALSO PARTICIPATES IN A PROGRAM SPONSORED BY A LOCAL BUSINESS THAT GATHERS USED PROM DRESSES AND GIVES THEM TO YOUNG LADIES THAT CANNOT AFFORD THEM. NO CASH IS GIVEN TO CLIENTS. THEY ALSO COLLECTED TOYS FOR THE TOYS FOR TOTS PROGRAM AND DURING 2021, 1200 TOYS WERE COLLECTED.
TAXABLE ITEMS SUCH AS SOAP, PAPER GOODS, SCHOOL SUPPLIES AND BACKPACKS ARE ALSO PURCHASED OR RECEIVED AS DONATIONS BY CHOPIN HALL. THESE ARE GIVEN TO CLIENTS AS NEEDED.
