AS THE ONLY ANIMAL SHELTER IN GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, CHERRYLAND HUMANE SOCIETY PROVIDED CARE FOR OVER 600 ANIMALS IN NEED. WE SUPPORT THE WELL BEING OF PEOPLE AND ANIMALS BY FOSTERING GREATER AWARENESS AND FOCUS UPON THE ROLE OF VARIOUS COMMUNITY INSTITUTIONS IN CREATING SOLUTIONS TO THE ROOT CAUSES OF COMPANION ANIMAL HOMELESSNESS, NEGLECT, CRUELTY AND VIOLENCE. CHS IS COMMITTED TO SPAYING AND NEUTERING ALL ADOPTED ANIMALS PRIOR TO JOINING THEIR NEW FAMILIES.
