COMPANIES/CABARETS - ARTSTREAM'S 6 THEATRE COMPANIES, INCLUDING 1 VIRTUAL AND 3 CABARETS SHOWCASE THE TALENTS OF ADULTS WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES (IDDS) CREATE AND PERFORM IN ORIGINAL MUSIC THEATRE PRODUCTIONS ON PROFESSIONAL STAGES. THE ACTORS, ALONG WITH VOLUNTEER MENTORS AND A PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTION TEAM, VOTE ON A THEME, IMPROVISE SCENES AND CHARACTERS, DEVELOP THE SCRIPT, SONGS AND CHOREOGRAPHY, CULMINATING IN A FULL LENGTH PRODUCTION. PARTICIPANTS IN ARTSTREAM'S THREE CABARET COMPANIES EACH PERFORM ONE ORIGINAL ANNUAL PRODUCTION. ACTORS AGREE ON A THEME FOR ENSEMBLE MUSIC AND DANCE PERFORMANCES, AND THEN EACH ACTOR WORKS WITH THE CHOREOGRAPHER AND MUSIC DIRECTOR TO DEVELOP SOLO AND SMALL GROUP MUSIC, DANCE OR DRAMA PERFORMANCES. PERFORMING ARTS CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS - ARTSTREAM PROVIDES PERFORMING ARTS CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS FOR PARTICIPANTS WITH IDDS. ARTSTREAM OFFERED 12 PROGRAMS WITH A TOTAL OF 111 PARTICIPANTS WITH IDDS.
