THE MISSION OF THE FIRST BASE FOUNDATION IS TO EDUCATE AND HELP YOUTH NOT ONLY TO DEVELOP ATHLETIC SKILLS BUT ALSO TO GAIN A LEVEL OF CONFIDENCE AND SELF-ESTEEM THAT THEY CAN USE ON AND OFF THE PLAYING FIELD. IT IS THE FIRST BASE FOUNDATION'S GOAL TO REACH AS MANY YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN IN THE THE COMMUNITY AS POSSIBLE, & HAVE A LIFE AFFIRMING EXPERIENCE REGARDLESS OF ETHNIC BACKGROUND, OR SOCIO-ECONOMIC STATUS.

THE FIRST BASE FOUNDATION AND CALIFORNIA WARRIORS TEAMS WERE FOUNDED IN 2004 WITH THE MISSION TO PROVIDE STUDENT ATHLETES EQUAL OPPORTUNITY TO PURSUE HIGHER EDUCATION AND PLAY COLLEGE BASEBALL REGARDLESS OF RACE, ETHNICITY,OR SOCIOECONOMIC BACKGROUND. WE CREATED THE CALIFORNIA WARRIORS HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER BASBALL PROGRAM AS A WAY TO DEVELOP RAW TALENT IN AN INCLUSIVE AND EMPOWERING ENVIRONMENT. AS A 501(C)3 NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, (E.I.N. 37-1499235) THE FIRST BASE FOUNDATION IS A MISSION-DRIVEN FOUNDATION DEDICATED TO: MAKING TRAVEL BASEBALL MORE AFFORDABLE, TRANSFORMING LIVES THROUGH POSITIVE MENTORSHIP,COMBATING INEQUALITY BY PROVIDING A HEALTHY SPACE FOR STUDENT ATHLETES OF DIFFERENT SOCIOECONOMIC BACKGROUNDS TO INTERACT WITH ONE ANOTHER.
