TO PROVIDE FACILITIES FOR A COMMUNITY NATURE CENTER AND SUPPORT AND OPERATE EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER NATURE INTERPRETATIVE PROGRAMS. THE FACILITY ACHIEVES THIS PURPOSE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC, BY SERVING 35 PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOLS THROUGH FIELD TRIPS, CLASSES, DISPLAYS, TRAILS, AND VARIOUS OTHER MEANS. THE CENTER PROVIDES APPROXIMATELY 20 SESSIONS OF 3-DAY KIDS CAMPS, APPROXIMATELY 12 FAMILY PROGRAMS, AND 5 ADULT PROGRAMS A YEAR. THE TRAILS ARE OPEN EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR FROM DAWN UNTIL DUSK AND THE VISITOR CENTER IS OPEN FROM 8AM - 4PM MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY WITH REDUCED HOURS ON THE WEEKEND.
