ALBERTA O. JONES PARK - A VIBRANT PUBLIC PARK NAMED AFTER THE PIONEERING ATTORNEY AND CIVIL RIGHTS CHAMPION ALBERTA ODELL JONES WHOSE FIRST LAW OFFICE WAS LOCATED JUST BLOCKS FROM THE PARK SITE. THE FIRST PHASE OF PARK CONSTRUCTION - ON FIVE OF THE SITE'S ROUGHLY 20 ACRES - BEGAN IN MARCH 2023 AND CELEBRATES THE COMMUNITY'S UNIQUE CULTURE AND HERITAGE. PHASE ONE INCLUDES ALL OF THE COMMUNITY'S MOST-REQUESTED FEATURES:* CUSTOM MUSIC-INSPIRED NATURE PLAYGROUND DESIGNED BY EARTHSCAPE.* PERFORMANCE PAVILION FEATURING A GIANT PHOTOMOSAIC HONORING ALBERTA O. THIS REGIONAL EVENT WELCOMES MORE THAN 110,000 GUESTS ANNUALLY, AND ACCOUNTS FOR APPROXIMATELY $2.8M IN ECONOMIC IMPACT FOR THE CITY.
