OUR MISSION IS TO ADDRESS THE LACK OF AN ACCESSIBLE, AFFORDABLE AND COORDINATED SUPPORT NETWORK FOR LOST, UNWANTED, ABANDONED, AND INJURED ANIMALS IN THE SOUTHERN ILLINOIS REGION BY PROVIDING, MAKING AVAILABLE, AND MAINTAINING TEMPORARY SHELTER TO THOSE LIVING IN OVERCROWDED GOVERNMENTALLY SUPPORTED OR PRIVATELY OPERATED ANIMAL CONTROL SHELTERS AND ANIMAL RESCUE FACILITIES.MORE SPECIFICALLY, ST. FRANCIS CARE (SFC)OPERATES A FACILITY, SUPPORTED BY VOLUNTEERS AND DONATIONS THAT PROVIDES ANIMALS WITH A SHELTER IN WHICH THEY CAN BE HOUSED, CARED FOR, OR REHABILITATED UNTIL THEY CAN BE ADOPTED BY A HUMAN WHO WILL ENSURE THEIR HEALTH AND WELL-BEING FOR THE REST OF THEIR NATURAL LIFE.
