ILLINOIS COMMUNITY ACTION DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (CORPORATION) IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION WHICH WAS CREATED TO DEVELOP LOW-INCOME HOUSING AND ADMINISTER AND OPERATE LOW-INCOME HOUSING PROGRAMS. IN 2020, THE CORPORATION RECEIVED THE LOCAL INITIATIVES SUPPORT CORPORATION (LISC) GRANT. THE LISC GRANT PROGRAM ACTIVITIES INCLUDE CAPACITY BUILDING TO ASSIST ILLINOIS COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCIES IN GAINING ACCESS TO LISC RESOURCES. IN 2020, THE CORPORATION ALSO PURCHASED TWO BUILDINGS FROM ANOTHER NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION AND RENTS THE BUILDINGS TO AND ORGANIZATION THAT PROVIDES HEAD START PROGRAMS FOR LOW INCOME QUALIFYING INDIVIDUALS. THE CORPORATION'S PRIMARY SOURCES OF REVENUE IS RENTAL INCOME. THE CORPORATION'S PURPOSE IS THE ENHANCEMENT OF THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR LOW-INCOME INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN ILLINOIS.
