FEED THE FRIDGE PROGRAM: THE GOAL OF THIS PROGRAM IS TO BRING NOURISHMENT WHERE THERE IS HUNGER WHILE HELPING RESTAURANTS STAY IN BUSINESS. WE DO THIS BY PLACING REFRIGERATORS AROUND THE DC METRO AREA AND PAYING LOCAL RESTAURANTS TO FILL THEM WITH FRESH MEALS DAILY. WE ALSO HAND-DELIVER HOLIDAY MEALS TO SENIORS WHO CANNOT LEAVE THEIR HOMES. DURING 2020 WE CARE DELIVERED OVER 30,000 MEALS TO THE ELDERLY. WE CARE ALSO PROVIDED APPROXIMATELY 3,500 MEALS A WEEK VIA ITS NETWORK OF FRIDGES INSTALLED THROUGHOUT THE DC AREA IN PLACES SUCH AS PUBLIC SCHOOLS, DC PARKS AND RECREATION CENTERS, MUSEUMS AND LIBRARIES. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH A NETWORK OF 24 RESTAURANTS AND 2 CATERERS FROM WHOM WE CARE PURCHASES MEALS FROM WEEKLY.
