VALLEY GUARDIAN SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM: LSA PROVIDES WORKSHOPS, MENTORSHIP, SCHOLARSHIPS, AND SUPPORT FOR MORE THAN 40+ UNDERPRIVILEGED STUDENTS. THESE STUDENTS ARE IN BOTH HIGH SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES THROUGHOUT THE VALLEY. THE PROGRAM ENABLES THESE UNDERPRIVILEGED STUDENTS TO RECEIVE OUR LEADERSHIP TRAINING THAT NORMALLY CAN ONLY BE ACCESSED BY STUDENTS COMING FROM HIGHER SOCIAL ECONOMIC STATUS FAMILIES. THE VALLEY GUARDIAN GROUP DONATES ALL THE FUNDS FOR THIS PROGRAM. LSA THEN PROVIDES THE REST OF THE EXPENSE FOR THE PROGRAM OUT OF THEIR OWN RESOURCES.

GETAWAYS/RETREATS: LSA PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS ALL OVER THE VALLEY TO COME TO A 2 NIGHT 3 DAY TRIP TO STRAWBERRY ARIZONA. THE STUDENTS STAY AT A CABIN IN STRAWBERRY AND PARTICIPATE IN MULTIPLE LEADERSHIP AND TEAM ACTIVITIES. THE STUDENTS ARE ALSO ABLE TO ENGAGE IN HIGH ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES THAT HELP THEM BUILD CONFIDENCE AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS. THE STUDENTS ARE ALSO ABLE TO SPEND TIME INTERACTING WITH ALL THE COACHES AT LSA. THESE GETAWAYS HAVE BEEN SHOWN TO HELP STUDENTS WITH INCREASING THEIR SOCIAL, LEADERSHIP, AND LIFE SKILLS. ATTENDEES WERE ASKED TO PAY A REGISTRATION FEE TO ATTEND THESE ACTIVITIES.

EDUCATION PROGRAMS

SUMMER PROGRAMS: THE LSA HOSTED 7 SUMMER LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT COURSES FOR STUDENTS IN ARIZONA. IN THESE WEEK-LONG COURSES, STUDENTS LEARNED HOW TO APPLY LSA'S LEADERSHIP METHODOLOGY TO THEIR PERSONAL LIVES TO ACHIEVE THEIR GOALS MORE EFFECTIVELY. STUDENTS AND PARENTS PAID LSA DIRECTLY TO FUND THESE PROGRAMS. CHARITABLE DONATIONS TO LSA WERE ALSO USED TO SUPPORT THE PROGRAMS. THE FUNDING WAS USED TO PURCHASE MATERIALS, FUND MARKETING EFFORTS, AND COMPENSATE INSTRUCTIONAL CONTRACTORS.
