NEW BEGINNINGS FOR MERCED COUNTY ANIMALS NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION IS DEDICATED TO HELPING THE ANIMALS AT THE MERCED COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER AS WELL OTHER LOCATIONS IN MERCED COUNTY. WE DO NOT HAVE A FACILITY. ANIMALS ARE HOUSED WITH INDIVIDUAL FOSTER FAMILIES IN THE AREA.OUR PRIMARY FOCUS IS HELPING TO REDUCE MERCED COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER EUTHANASIA RATE BY PROVIDING TRANSPORTATION FOR THE ANIMALS TO VARIOUS RESCUE ORGANIZATIONS. WE ALSO TAKE ANIMALS WITH MEDICAL ISSUES OUT OF THE SHELTER AND ARRANGE FOR VETERINARY AND FOSTER CARE.

TRANSPORTING ANIMALS FROM SHELTERS TO FOSTER HOMES, FOR MEDICAL CARE, OR TO OTHER RESCUE ORGANIZATIONS. 4,829 ANIMALS WERE TRANSPORTED THIS YEAR.
EXPENSES FOR FOOD, SUPPLIES AND MEDICAL CARE FOR SHELTER ANIMALS, EXCLUDING SPAY/NEUTERING. ADOPTION FEES ARE COLLECTED TO OFFSET THE COSTS FOR CARING FOR ANIMALS. 164 KITTENS WERE ADOPTED DURING SPECIAL ADOPTION EVENTS HELD AT OUR LOCAL PETCO STORE.
SPAY/NEUTERING PROGRAM TO REDUCE OVERPOPULATION OF UNWANTED DOGS AND CATS. 1,719 VOUCHERS WERE ISSUED TO PET OWNERS FOR DISCOUNTS ON SPAY/NEUTER SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED BY LOCAL VETERINARIANS.
