THE CHILD CARE RESTORATION GRANTS PROGRAM WAS CREATED UTILIZING FEDERAL COVID-19 RELIEF FUNDING TO SUPPORT CHILD CARE PROGRAMS WHO ENDURED LOST REVENUE DUE TO THE COVID-19 PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY.
GATEWAYS TO OPPORTUNITY IS A COMPREHENSIVE STATEWIDE PROGRAM DESIGNED TO MEET THE NEEDS OF CHILD CARE PROFESSIONALS IN ILLINOIS BY PROVIDING A NETWORK OF RESOURCES IN THE AREAS OF CREDENTIALING, CAREER GUIDANCE, TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT.
THE PRESCHOOL DEVELOPMENT GRANT PROGRAM ASSISTS THE STATE OF ILLINOIS IN DEVELOPING, UPDATING, AND IMPLEMENTING A STRATEGIC PLAN THAT FACILITATES COLLABORATION AND COORDINATION AMONG EXISTING PROGRAMS OF EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE AND EDUCATION IN A MIXED DELIVERY SYSTEM ACROSS THE STATE DESIGNED TO PREPARE LOW-INCOME AND DISADVANTED CHILDREN TO ENTER KINDERGARTEN AND TO IMPROVE TRANSITIONS INTO THE LOCAL EDUCATIONAL AGENCY OR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL THAT ENROLLS SUCH CHILDREN.
