THE KOINONIA FOOD PANTRY, INC. IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION THAT OPERATES IN LACON, IL TO ASSIST WITH EMERGENCY FOOD DISTRIBUTION TO THE RESIDENTS OF MARSHALL AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES. TO QUALIFY FOR FOOD ASSISTANCE THE CLIENTS MUST CERTIFY THAT THEIR HOUSEHOLD MONTHLY INCOME DOES NOT EXCEED DHS ESTABLISHED LIMITS. MARSHALL COUNTY HAS A POPULATION OF AROUND 11,500 RESIDENTS AND WE USUALLY HAVE CLIENTS BETWEEN 3800-5600 PERSONS ON AN ANNUAL BASIS, THIS CONSISTS OF 1150-1600 FAMILIES ANNUALLY.
