THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED A GRANT OF 800,000 TO SUPPORT HEALTHCARE AT NORTSHORE UNIVERSITY HEALTHSYSTEM - HIGHLAND PARK HOSPITAL. IN ADDITION, THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED 26 GRANTS TO 25 DIFFERENT IRC SECTION 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATIONS TOTALING 1,050,000 THAT PROVIDE HEALTHCARE AND RELATED SERVICES TO PEOPLE RESIDING IN HIGHLAND PARK, ILLINOIS AND ITS SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES. THESE ORGANIZATIONS SUPPORT AND BENEFIT THE HEALTHCARE MISSION OF NORTHSHORE UNIVERSITY HEALTHSYSTEM. IN MANY CASES THE DIRECT HEALTHCARE, PREVENTATIVE SERVICES, AND MANY OTHER VARIOUS RELATED SERVICES PROVIDED BY THESE ORGANIZATIONS MAY ENABLE THE RESIDENTS TO AVOID USING THE EMERGENCY ROOM SERVICES AT THE HOSPITAL.
