HUNDREDS OF TULSANS DONATED FUNDS IN 1925 TO COMPLETE THE ORIGINAL ST. JOHN BUILDING, WHICH OPENED THE FOLLOWING YEAR. EVER SINCE, THE COMMUNITY HAS SUPPORTED ST. JOHN HEALTH SYSTEM, AND ST. JOHN HAS WORKED TO RETURN THE FAVOR BY PROVIDING THE BEST CARE TO OUR PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES. THE ST. JOHN HEALTH SYSTEM FOUNDATION PROVIDES FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR THE OPERATION AND CONTINUED GROWTH OF ST. JOHN. EACH YEAR, THE FOUNDATION RECEIVES MANY GRANTS, CONTRIBUTIONS, DONATIONS AND GIFTS SUPPORTING THE WORK OF ST. JOHN. GIFTS TO THE FOUNDATION ENABLE THE HEALTH SYSTEM TO EXPAND EXISTING SERVICES AND ADD IMPORTANT NEW PROGRAMS. IN RECENT YEARS, FOUNDATION FUNDS HAVE HELPED BUILD AND EQUIP A NEW PEDIATRIC INTENSIVE CARE UNIT, OPEN A KIDNEY DIALYSIS CENTER IN AN UNDERSERVED PART OF TOWN, AND EXPAND OUR PRE-ADMISSION TESTING LAB. AS PART OF THE ASCENSION CATHOLIC HEALTH MINISTRY, THE FILING ORGANIZATION SERVED IN SUPPORT OF ASCENSION'S COMMITMENT TO BOTH CARE FOR PATIENTS AND COMMUNITIES AND SUPPORT CAREGIVERS AND OTHER ASSOCIATES THROUGH THE CHALLENGES OF THE COVID-19 GLOBAL PANDEMIC IN FY21.
