THROUGH FUNDRAISING, THE ORGANIZATION OFFERED FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO FIFTEEN LOCAL HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICE AGENCIES THAT PROVIDE SERVICES TO APPROXIMATELY 30,000 INDIVIDUALS THROUGH MORE THAN 14 PROGRAMS. THR PROGRAMS DIRECTLY RESPOND TO HUMAN SERVICE NEEDS IDENTIFIED THROUGH A COMMNITY NEEDS ASSESSMENT.
THE H.U.S.K.Y. PROGRAM (HELPING UNDERPRIVILEGED SCHOOL KIDS YEAR ROUND)PROVIDES BULK QUANTITIES OF THE MOST NEEDED SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR THE CHILDREN OF FAMILIES WHO CANNOT AFFORD THESE ITEMS. PRIORITY IS GIVEN TO SCHOOLS WITH A HIGH PERCENTAGE OF LOW-INCOME STUDENTS. 15-20 SCHOOLS PARTICIPATE AND APPROXIMATELY 2,500 CHILDREN BENEFIT FROM THE PROGRAM ANNUALLY.
