PROMOTION OF BUSINESS IN THE SAUK VALLEY AREA. DUE TO THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC, THE SVACC BECAME A RESOURCE CENTER FOR COVID 19 INFORMATION, RESOURCES AND SERVICES. INITIATED A SAUK VALLEY STRONG CAMPAIGN TO PROMOTE THE SAUK VALLEY AREA, SHOPPING LOCAL AND USING LOCAL SERVICES.STEAK FRY IN THE COUNTRY: 280 SAUK VALLEY SUPPORTERS OF AGRICULTURE ATTENDED THE 2021 STEAK FRY IN THE COUNTRY ON AUGUST 5, 2021. THE OBJECTIVE OF THE PROGRAM IS TO RAISE FUNDS TO SUPPORT AG EDCUATION IN THE SAUK VALLEY BY AWARDING SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENTS PURSING AGRICULTURE RELATED CAREERS AND LOCAL AG PROGRAMS SUCH AS FFA, AG IN THE CLASSROOM, UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS EXTENSION 4H AND SVCC. ALLOCATED $11,250.00 IN SCHOLARSHIPS FOR 8 STUDENTS AND CONTRIBUTED $5000.00 TO THREE AG RELATED ORGANIZATIONS.SVACC ANNUAL GOLF OUTING. THIS EVENT BROUGHT TOGETHER 108 GOLFERS AND 43 MEMBER SPONSORS. THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS EVENT IS TO RAISE FUNDS FOR THE CHARLES FARNHAM BUSINESS SCHOLARSHIP AND WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES;INCLUDING INVOLVMENT IN THE WACC CEO PROGRAM AND THE SVACC 6 WEEK ESSENTIAL SKILLS TRAINING OFFERED TO LOCAL HIGH SCHOOLS . THE SVACC ALLOCATED $2000.00 FOR SCHOLARSHIPS AND 2 LOCAL STUDENTS RECEIVED SCHOLARSHIPS TO PURSUE A CAREER PATHWAY IN A BUSINESS RELATED FIELD.SVACC ANNUAL MANUFACTURING DINNER. IN 2021 THE 3RD ANNUAL MANUFACTURING DINNER WAS HELD. THE OJBECITVE IS THIS PROGRAM IS TO CELEBRATE THE ROLE OF MANUFACTURING IN THE SAUK VALLEY AND BRING TOGETHER THE MANUFACTURING COMMUNITY, ITS SUPPORTERS, AND EDUCATION. ANOTHER OBJECTIVE OF THIS PROGRAM IS TO RAISE FUNDS TO SUPPORT MANUFACTURING AND THE TRADES AS CAREER PATHS FOR OUR LOCAL STUDENTS AND RESIDENTS; PROVIDIGN SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STUDENTS ATTENDING EITHER SVCC OR MORRISON INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY. 155 COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND 21 SPONSORS WERE PART OF THE MANUFACTURING DINNER. $1500.00 WAS ALLOCATED IN SCHOLARSHIPS AND 3 LOCAL RESIDENTS WERE AWARDED THESE SCHOLARSHIPS.
