MAEDS PUTS ON 2 DIFFERENT EVENTS DURING THE YEAR. THE 2016 SPRING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT EVENT WAS HELD AT MID-MICHIGAN COMMUNITY COLLEGE IN MOUNT PLEASANT, MI ON MAY 5. A VIDEO CONNECTION WAS SENT TO A REGIONAL EDUCATIONAL MEDIA CENTER IN THE UPPER PENINSULA. THIS EVENT PLAYED HOST TO 155 ATTENDEES WHO HEARD PRESENTATIONS FROM 4 DIFFERENCE PRESENTERS. THE 2015 FALL CONFERENCE WAS HELD AT SHANTY CREEK RESORTS IN BELLAIRE, MI FROM OCTOBER 14-16. THIS 3-DAY CONFERENCE FEATURED 39 SESSIONS FROM 32 DIFFERENT PRESENTERS. THE CONFERENCE ALSO BOASTS 36 VENDORS FROM IN AND AROUND MICHIGAN TO SHOW THEIR WARES AND SERVICES TO THE 306 MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE. BOTH EVENTS ARE GEARED TOWARDS PROVIDING TRAINING TO TECHNOLOGY DIRECTORS, NETWORK/SYSTEM ADMINISTRATORS, AND OTHER TECHNOLOGY PROFESSIONALS WORKING IN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS IN AND AROUND MICHIGAN.
