KENYA WORKS COLLABORATES WITH KENYAN COMMUNITIES TO ENHANCE SELF SUFFICIENCY AND REDUCE POVERTY THROUGH BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS, TRUST AND A THOROUGH UNDERSTANDING OF THE COMMUNITIES' IDENTIFIED NEEDS. KENYA WORKS WORKS DIRECTLY IN THESE PARTNERSHIPS, HELPING TO SUPPORT LONG TERM SOLUTIONS TO INCREASE EDUCATIONAL, VOCATIONAL, AND FINANCIAL LITERACY FOR THE PEOPLE OF KENYA.

VICTORY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CENTER (VICODEC) IS IN ONGATE-RONGAI SLUMS AND PROVIDES SCHOOLING, NUTRITION, AND BASIC MEDICAL CARE TO 600+ CHILDREN AND A NOON MEAL TO 1,000 CHILDREN DAILY. 20,000 HAVE BEEN FED OFF SITE AT SATELLITE FEEDING PROGRAMS.
THE MAKINI INITIATIVE PROVIDES REUSABLE ECO FRIENDLY SANITARY PADS ALONG WITH HYGIENE AND PUBERTY EDUCATION TO WOMEN AND GIRLS IN KENYA. THE PADS ARE MADE IN KENYA FOR KENYANS AND PROVIDE SAFE AND RELIABLE MEANS FOR GIRLS TO MANAGE THEIR MENSES AND ALLEVIATE PERIOD POVERTY.
FEEDING PROGRAMS, MIALE YA TUMAINI, KENYA WORKS COMMUNITY WORKS, AND WOMEN'S PROJECTS. MIALE YA TUMAINI IS A COMMUNITY BASED PROGRAM RESPONDING TO IMMENSE NEEDS.
