THE JOCOTOCO FOUNDATION WORKS TO RAISE AWARENESS OF THE IMPORTANCE OF LAND PRESERVATION IN THE RAIN FORESTS OF ECUADOR AND RAISE FUNDS FOR RAINFOREST TRUST, AND FOR THE FUNDACION DE CONSERVACION JOCOTOCO, AN NGO THAT HAS BEEN OPERATING IN ECUADOR SINCE 1998 AND MAINTAINS RESERVES THAT COVER OVER 23,000 HECTARES AND SUPPORT 900 SPECIES OF BIRDS OVER 50 OF WHICH ARE THREATENED OR NEAR-THREATENED WITH EXTINCTION.
