THE MINORITY HEALTH COALITION OF MADISON COUNTY (MHCMC) IS AN AFFILIATE ORGANIZATIONAL MEMBER OF THE INDIANA MINORITY HEALTH COALITION (IMHC). WE ARE A NOT-FOR-PROFIT COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATION DESIGNED TO DO THE FOLLOWING:PROMOTE MINORITY HEALTH THROUGH EDUCATION, ADVOCACY, PUBLIC RELATIONS, RESEARCH AND LEADERSHIP.ADVOCATE FOR COMMUNITY REPRESENTATION FOR MEDICALLY UNDERSERVED INDIVIDUALS THAT WILL BRING ABOUT WORKABLE SOLUTIONS TO ADDRESS PERSONAL, FAMILY AND COMMUNITY HEALTH PROBLEMS EXPERIENCED BY MINORITY POPULATIONS.REDUCE PREMATURE MORTALITY AND ILLNESS RESULTING FROM CONDITIONS TO WHICH MINORITY POPULATIONS ARE AT HIGH RISK BY STIMULATING AWARENESS OF AND KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THOSE CONDITIONS.IMPROVE ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE AND SERVICES FOR MINORITIES AND INDIVIDUALS THAT ARE UNABLE TO OBTAIN ADEQUATE CARE.ENSURE THAT HEALTH CARE SERVICES ARE OF A HIGH QUALITY, ARE CULTURALLY SENSITIVE AND SUFFICIENTLY COORDINATED.

ADVANCEMENT ACADEMIES RUN OVER 2 YEARS TO ACCELERATE STUDENT LEARNING AND PROVIDE NEW LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES FOR ANDERSON STUDENTS. ADVANCEMENT ACADEMIES ARE 2-WEEK OPTIONAL SESSIONS DURING SUMMER, FALL, AND SPRING BREAKS DURING THE NEXT 2 SCHOOL YEARS.
THE PRIMARY FOCUS OF DRUG FREE COMMUNITY IS THE PREVENTION, REDUCTION, AND ELIMINATION OF SUBSTANCE USE AND MISUSE AMONG OUR YOUTH IN MADISON COUNTY THROUGH EDUCATION, EMPOWERMENT, ADVOCACY AND EVIDENCE-BASED PROGRAMMING.
THE 50+ PROGRAM IS AN INITIATIVE FOR THE PREVENTION OF SUBSTANCE USE/MISUSE AMONG SENIORS 50+ AND OLDER.
