THE PURPOSE IS TO LINK HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS TO EXISTING SERVICES; INCREASING PUBLIC AWARENESS THROUGH EDUCATION; IDENTIFYING NEEDED SERVICES AND, IF NECESSARY, IMPLEMENTING THEM AND TO PREVENT HOMELESSNESS. THE ORGANIZATION'S DIRECT SERVICE TEAMS PROVIDE CASE MANAGEMENT, OUTREACH, ENGAGEMENT, REFERRAL SERVICES, AND DIRECT HOUSING PLACEMENT TO THE HOMELESS IN EVANSVILLE, VANDERBURGH COUNTY, AND 9 OTHER COUNTIES WITHIN REGION 12 OF SOUTHWESTERN INDIANA. FURTHERMORE, AURORA WORKS TO PROMOTE AFFORDABLE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT IN OUR COMMUNITY AND REGION THAT MEETS THE NEEDS OF HOUSING INSECURE HOUSEHOLDS AND UNHOUSED INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES.
