BLUE RIVER, INC. WAS ORGANIZED AS AN INDIANA NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION TO OWN AND OPERATE TWO APARTMENT PROJECTS FOR LOW-INCOME SENIOR CITIZENS IN COLUMBIA CITY, INDIANA. PHASE I HAS 10 UNITS AND PHASE II HAS 30 UNITS. THE CORPORATION'S MORTGAGE LOANS WERE PROVIDED THROUGH THE RURAL DEVELOPMENT, DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, UNDER SECTION 515 OF THE HOUSING ACT OF 1949. IN ADDITION, THE CORPORATION HAS ALSO ENTERED INTO A HOUSING ASSISTANCE PAYMENT CONTRACT WITH HUD. THE HAP CONTRACT IS A RENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR LOW-INCOME FAMILIES OR PERSONS AS PROVIDED BY THE SECTION 8 PROGRAM OF THE NATIONAL HOUSING ACT.
