ESTABLISHED IN 1968, THE MISSION OF THE MARTIN LUTHER KING MONTESSORI SCHOOL (MLKMS) IS TO PROVIDE A MONTESSORI EDUCATION TO PRESCHOOL CHILDREN THAT ENRICHES EVERY CHILD'S GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT AND DREAMS. MLKMS HAS EARNED LEVEL 4 (THE HIGHEST) ON THE INDIANA PATHS TO QUALITY RATING SCALES. IT IS ALSO ONE OF VERY FEW MONTESSORI SCHOOLS IN THE UNITED STATES TO OFFER A FULL-DAY, FULL-YEAR QUALITY PRESCHOOL MONTESSORI EDUCATION TO UP TO 100 LOW-INCOME CHILDREN AND FAMILIES ANNUALLY AT AN AFFORDABLE COST. STUDENTS ALSO RECEIVE DOOR-TO-DOOR TRANSPORTATION, SPEECH THERAPY, WELLNESS AND DEVELOPMENTAL SCREENINGS.
