ADULT RESIDENTIAL - SUPPORTED LIVING AND GROUP HOME SERVICES PROVIDE AN ARRAY OF SUPPORT AND ACTIVITIES FOR PERSONS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES IN THE HOME AND IN THE COMMUNITY. QUALIFIED STAFF ASSIST WITH BATHING, HOUSEKEEPING SKILLS, COOKING, SHOPPING, AND OTHER DAILY LIVING ACTIVITIES. CAREY SERVICES STAFF PROVIDE TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES SO THAT PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES MAINTAIN THEIR INDEPENDENCE AND INVOLVEMENT IN THEIR COMMUNITY.
ADULT DAY SERVICES - THE HABILITATION PROGRAM AT CAREY SERVICES CONSISTS OF PERSON-CENTERED TRAINING IN A WIDE VARIETY OF LIVING SKILLS. THE GOAL IN ALL TRAINING IS TO ASSIST IN DECISION MAKING AND BECOMING MORE INDEPENDENT IN NORMAL LIFE ACTIVITIES. DEPENDING UPON THE NEED OF EACH PARTICIPANT, TRAINING MAY OCCUR INDIVIDUALLY OR IN A GROUP SETTING. CLASSES TAKE PLACE AT THE AGENCY AND IN THE COMMUNITY, IN A HELPFUL AND ACCOMMODATING ENVIRONMENT.
EARLY HEAD START (EHS) IS A FEDERALLY FUNDED PROGRAM FOR FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN UNDER THREE YEARS OLD AND PREGNANT WOMEN WHO MEET HEAD START INCOME GUIDELINES. EHS WORKS WITH FIRST STEPS TO ENSURE THAT CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES RECEIVE QUALITY AND COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES. THERE WERE DONATED SERVICES DURING THE YEAR OF $58,300.
OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES INCLUDE EMPLOYMENT SERVICES, TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, EMPLOYMENT SERVICES CAREY SERVICES PROVIDES ASSISTANCE IN HELPING INDIVIDUALS PREPARE FOR JOBS THROUGH EDUCATION AND PRACTICE WITH EMPLOYMENT SEARCHES, DEVELOPING RESUMES, COMPLETING APPLICATIONS, AND PREPARING AND EXECUTING AN EFFECTIVE INTERVIEW. ADDITIONALLY, CAREY SERVICES CAN PROVIDE JOB COACHING AND CAN LINK PEOPLE TO CLOTHING AND NEEDED SUPPLIES FOR AN INTERVIEW OR THEIR JOB IN SOME CASES. TRANSPORTATION SERVICES PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TRANSPORTING CLIENTS WITH INTELLECTUAL OR DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES TO OUR DAY SERVICES PROGRAMS.
