RESIDENTIAL SERVICES: LOGAN COMMUNITY RESOURCES (LOGAN) WORKS WITH INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES, AND NEIGHBORHOODS SO THAT THE DREAM OF LIVING IN THE COMMUNITY CAN BECOME A REALITY. REALIZING THAT HOME MEANS DIFFERENT THINGS TO DIFFERENT PEOPLE, LOGAN IS COMMITTED TO SUPPORTING EACH PERSON IN FINDING THE HOME OF THEIR CHOICE. LOGAN OWNS AND OPERATES 7 GROUP HOMES AND MANAGES OVER 20 SUPPORTED LIVING SITES, PROVIDING NEEDED SUPPORTS FOR SUCCESSFUL COMMUNITY LIVING FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL.
ADULT AND CHILD SERVICES: INDIVIDUALS SERVED BY LOGAN ARE PROVIDED A VARIETY OF LIFE ENRICHMENT EXPERIENCES, WITH PLANS TAILORED TO EACH PERSON BASED ON THEIR INTERESTS. IN LOGAN'S STUDIOS DAY PROGRAM, WE ENCOMPASS A VARIETY OF MODES OF EXPRESSION - VISUAL, MUSICAL, CULINARY, KINETIC, VERBAL, AND SENSORY. OUR SKILLED AND CARING STAFF ENCOURAGE CHOICE AND CREATIVITY. COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES INCLUDE VOLUNTEERISM AT SUCH PLACES LIKE MEALS AND WHEELS AND ANIMAL SHELTERS, AS WELL AS JOB EXPLORATION AND COMMUNITY EXPLORATION. LOGAN OFFERS WELLNESS ACTIVITIES IN OUR COMMUNITY THROUGHOUT THE YEAR FOR CHILDREN, TEENS, AND ADULTS WITH A FOCUS ON FUN AND HEALTHY LIFESTYLES. WELLNESS OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDE ART CLASSES, BOWLING, COOKING, PHYSICAL FITNESS, COMMUNITY EXCURSIONS, CULTURAL EVENTS, SPORTING EVENTS, AND MANY MORE. HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER PLAYERS TEACH CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES THE GAME OF SOCCER IN LOGAN'S TOP SOCCER PROGRAM. BEST BUDDIES, A POPULAR STUDENT SERVICE CLUB, IS AN INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO ENHANCING THE LIVES OF PEOPLE WITH INTELLECTUAL OR DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES BY PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR SOCIALIZATION. THE LOCAL CHAPTER AT NOTRE DAME MATCHES STUDENTS AT SAINT MARY'S COLLEGE, HOLY CROSS COLLEGE, AND THE UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME WITH LOGAN CLIENTS FOR FRIENDSHIP AND SOCIAL EXPERIENCES. SIMILARLY, SUPER SIBS IS A UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME AND SAINT MARY'S COLLEGE SERVICE CLUB, WHICH PROVIDES SUPPORT AND FRIENDSHIP TO CHILDREN WHO HAVE SIBLINGS WITH DISABILITIES. VOLUNTEERS ACROSS ALL AGES HELP WITH LOGAN'S WELLNESS ACTIVITIES. LOGAN PROVIDES RESPITE SERVICES TO FAMILIES WHO NEED A BREAK FROM CARING FOR THEIR LOVED ONE. LOGAN'S CHIARA HOME OFFERS RESPITE FROM A FEW HOURS, UP TO A FEW WEEKS AT A TIME. LOGAN ALSO OFFERS INDIVIDUAL RESPITE SERVICES WITHIN A CAREGIVER'S HOME AND THROUGH COMMUNITY EXPERIENCES. LOGAN'S THERAPY SERVICES INCLUDE EARLY CHILDHOOD INTERVENTION THERAPIES SUCH AS SPEECH, PHYSICAL, OCCUPATIONAL, AND DEVELOPMENTAL THERAPIES IN BOTH A FAMILY'S HOME AND IN LOGAN'S BUILDINGS. LOGAN'S AUTISM CENTERS PROVIDE SERVICES THAT SUPPORT INDIVIDUALS WITH AUTISM AND THEIR FAMILIES. SERVICES INCLUDE APPLIED BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS THERAPY, BEHAVIOR CONSULTATION, AND PARENT TRAINING. ADOLESCENTS TO YOUNG ADULTS MAY ALSO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIAL SKILLS CLASSES AND SOCIAL GROUP EVENTS. BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS AUTISM LEARNING CENTER, BEHAVIOR CONSULTATION, GIRLS ONLY GROUP, RECREATION SERVICES, SOCIAL SKILLS CLASSES, AND TEEN GROUP.
EMPLOYMENT SERVICES: LOGAN BELIEVES EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO WORK SHOULD HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO DO SO. OUR PRE-EMPLOYMENT TRANSITION SERVICES PROGRAM ALIGNS STAFF WITH LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TO BEGIN CAREER EXPLORATION THROUGH RESEARCH, JOB EXPERIENCES, JOB SHADOWING, AND INTERNSHIPS. OUR COMMUNITY EMPLOYMENT SERVICES TEAM WORKS WITH INDIVIDUALS TO ATTAIN COMPETITIVE JOBS THROUGHOUT OUR COMMUNITY AND WORKS COLLABORATIVELY WITH EMPLOYERS TO ENSURE SUCCESSFUL JOB PLACEMENTS.
