THE MISSION OF KIWANIS INTERNATIONAL AND THE CLUBS THAT MAKE UP KIWANIS IS "SERVING THE CHILDREN OF THE WORLD." ITS DEFINING STATEMENT IS AS FOLLOWS: KIWANIS IS A GLOBAL ORGANIZATION OF VOLUNTEERS DEDICATED TO IMPROVING THE WORLD ONE CHILD AND ONE COMMUNITY AT A TIME.

THE OHIO DISTRICT OF KIWANIS INTERNATIONAL PROVIDED ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE TO THE 200 KIWANIS CLUBS AND 5,700 INDIVIDUAL KIWANIS MEMBERS IN THE STATE OF OHIO, AS WELL AS TO THE CIRCLE K (COLLEGE) AND KEY CLUBS (HIGH SCHOOL) THAT ARE SPONSORED BY THE INDIVIDUAL KIWANIS CLUBS. THIS SUPPORT INCLUDES COLLECTING DUES AND PAYING EXPENSES TO SUPPORT THE DISTRICT BOARDS FOR KIWANIS, CIRCLE K, AND KEY CLUB. IN ADDITION, THE DISTRICT PUBLISHED A MONTHLY NEWSLETTER FOR KIWANIS AND PARTICIPATED IN THE PLANNING OF VARIOUS CONVENTIONS AND CONFERENCES HELD BY THE ORGANIZATIONS.
