THE PURPOSE OF THE FOUNDATION IS TO FOSTER, ENHANCE AND SUPPORT EDUCATIONAL, CULTURAL AND RECREATIONAL ENRICHMENT IN THE COMMUNITY OF TALLMADGE, OHIO.

THE FOUNDATION WAS A CONDUIT TO DISTRIBUTE 20,500 IN SCHOLARSHIPS TO 15 TALLMADGE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. SEE PAGE 6 OF THE ANNUAL REPORT FOR LIST OF SCHOLARSHIPS AND RECIPIENTS.


THE TALLMADGE FOUNDATION WAS ESTABLISHED IN 2000. A SMALL GROUP OF TALLMADGE RESIDENTS ESTABLISHED THE FOUNDATION FOR THE PURPOSE OF FOSTERING, ENHANCING AND SUPPORTING EDUCATIONAL, CULTURAL AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES FOR THE COMMUNITY OF TALLMADGE. THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES A VEHICLE TO FUND PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS WHERE INITIATIVES WOULD COME FROM COMMUNITY-BASED CIVIC ORGANIZATIONS, LOCAL SCHOOLS, LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND EVEN INDIVIDUALS. THESE INITIATIVES COULD INCLUDE LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES, CULTURAL PROGRAMS, DEVELOPMENT SEMINARS, WORKSHOPS AND SKILL DEVELOPMENT. THE FOUNDATION'S AVENUES OF FUNDING ARE OPEN THROUGH GRANTS AND PARTNERING WITH ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS IN THE COMMUNITY.
