THE FOUNDATION IS A FLEXIBLE, YET PERMANENT SELECTION OF FUNDS SUPPORTED BY A WIDE RANGE OF DONORS. THE FOUNDATION HAS RELATIVE INDEPENDENCE TO DETERMINE THE BEST USE OF THOSE FUNDS TO MEET COMMUNITY NEEDS. THE FOUNDATION HAS A GOVERNING BOARD OF VOLUNTEERS, KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THEIR COMMUNITY AND RECOGNIZED FOR THEIR INVOLVEMENT IN CIVIC AFFAIRS. THE FOUNDATION IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDE LEADERSHIP ON PERVASIVE COMMUNITY CHALLENGES, TO ASSIST DONORS TO IDENTIFY AND ATTAIN THEIR PHILANTHROPIC GOALS AND TO ADHERE TO A SENSE OF "COMMUNITY" THAT OVERRIDES INDIVIDUAL INTERESTS AND CONCERNS. SUPPORT FOR LOCAL SPECIAL EVENTS
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM--THE FOUNDATION ADMINISTERS MORE THAN 100 DIFFERENT SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS, WHICH ARE PRIMARILY AWARDED TO GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS. THESE SCHOLARSHIPS ARE FOR STUDENTS ATTENDING INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER LEARNING, INCLUDING LOAN FORGIVENESS.
GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS WITH SIGNIFICANT FINANCIAL NEEDS--THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE TO THOSE MOST IN NEED.
