THE MISSION OF THE RICHLAND COUNTY FOUNDATION IS TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN RICHLAND COUNTY THROUGH STRATEGIC PHILANTHROPY AND COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP. GRANTS ARE DISTRIBUTED FOR CHARITABLE PURPOSES IN THE AREAS OF HEALTH, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, BASIC HUMAN NEEDS, EDUCATION, ENVIRONMENT, AND COMMUNITY SERVICES.

THE RICHLAND COUNTY FOUNDATION IS AN ORGANIZATION THAT MAKES GRANTS PRIMARILY FROM THE INVESTMENT EARNINGS OF ITS COMPONENT FUNDS. THESE GRANTS SUPPORT THE PROGRAMS AND OPERATIONS OF MANY CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY AS WELL AS STUDENTS ATTENDING COLLEGE. DURING 2023, 501 GRANTS TOTALING 5,273,334 WERE AWARDED TO 348 CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS. IN ADDITION, 348 SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS TOTALING 966,609 WERE AWARDED TO LOCAL STUDENTS PURSUING A POST SECONDARY EDUCATION.
