ANIMAL RESCUE & ADOPTION: VALLEY SAVE-A-PET HELPS REHABILITATE ABANDONED DOGS AND CATS AND PLACES THEM IN SUITABLE, LOVING HOMES. CATS AND KITTENS ARE NURTURED IN LOVING AND CARING FOSTER HOMES OR A PRIVATE BOARDING HOME UNTIL ADOPTION.
SPAY & NEUTER ASSISTANCE & TNR FERAL CAT: VALLEY SAVE-A-PET'S SPAY/NEUTER PROGRAM WILL CONTINUE TO OFFER CAT AND DOG SPAY/NEUTER AT A DISCOUNTED RATE FOR PET OWNERS WHO OTHERWISE CANNOT AFFORD THE COST. MODEST ADDITIONAL CHARGES ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL ANIMALS NOT CURRENT ON VACCINATION AND FOR LARGER DOGS WHOSE WEIGHT MIGHT REQUIRE SPECIAL ANESTHESIA. WE WILL HAVE ABOUT 12 VETERINARIANS PARTICIPATING IN OUR PROGRAM THIS YEAR. FOR VALLEY SAVE-A-PET'S TNR FERAL CAT PROGRAM, CATS IN SELECTED WILD COLONIES ARE TRAPPED, SPAYED, OR NEUTERED AND RETURNED TO THEIR COLONIES. THE COLONIES WILL BE SELF-REDUCING OVER TIME.
VETERINARY CARE & EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE: FINANCIAL HELP IS PROVIDED TO OWNERS WHO CANNOT AFFORD THE COST OF EMERGENCY VETERINARY CARE FOR THEIR PETS.
