THE PURPOSE OF ENGLISH SPRINGER RESCUE AMERICA, INC. IS TO RESCUE, REHABILITATE AND REHOME ENGLISH SPRINGER SPANIELS IN NEED. ENGLISH SPRINGER RESCUE AMERICA, INC. IS AN ALL VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION FOCUSED ON PROTECTING THE BREED WHEN AND WHERE NEEDED.

ESRA 2023 PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTSIN JANUARY, ADJUSTED THE MILAGE REIMBURSEMENT RATE TO THE IRS 2023 RATE FOR BUSINESS MILES.BEST FRIENDS DISCONTINUED THEIR "STRUT YOUR MUTT" FUND RAISING PROGRAM AND MADE A ONE-TIME $30,000 GRANT TO ESRA. ESRA REPLACED THE ANNUAL "STRUT YOUR MUTT" FUNDRAISER WITH "SAVE OUR STRAYS" THAT WAS QUITE SUCCESSFUL RAISING OVER $115,000.THE BOARD APPROVED CHANGES TO THE BY-LAWS, NONE OF WHICH REQUIRED MEMBERSHIP APPROVAL AND WERE REVIEWED BY LEGAL COUNSEL. SPECIFICALLY, CHANGES WERE MADE TO ARTICLES 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 14 AND 24.THE BOARD CLARIFIED THE SPAY/NEUTER POLICY THAT PUPPIES PLACED WITH ADOPTERS MUST BE SPAYED/NEUTERED BY THE TIME THE DOG TURNS ONE YEAR OLD. EXCEPTIONS TO THE POLICY REQUIRE APPROVAL OF THE PRESIDENT.IN NOVEMBER, THE BOARD APPROVED EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2024 THE FOLLOWING:$450 ADOPTION FEE$75 SENIOR ADOPTION FEE$15 ADOPTION APPLICATION FEE$200 SPAY/NEUTER DEPOST
