FOLLOW AND LEARN ABOUT THE OCEAN AND WETLANDS (FLOW) PROGRAM IS A CITIZEN SCIENCE PROGRAM THAT BRINGS STUDENTS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS TOGETHER TO TEST AND EXAMINE THE WATER QUALITY IN THE WETLANDS AND TIDAL INLET. WATER SAMPLES ARE GATHERED AND THEN TESTED AND EXAMINED UNDER A MICROSCOPE TO SEE WHAT PHYTOPLANKTON IS PRESENT. SAMPLES ARE SENT TO THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH.
