HEMLOCK SOCIETY OF SAN DIEGO (HSSD) IS AN ORGANIZATION WITH OVER 350 ACTIVE MEMBERS IN & OUTSIDE OF SAN DIEGO COUNTY. HSSD PROVIDES FREE PUBLIC EDUCATION ON END-OF-LIFE ISSUES & ADVANCE CARE PLANNING THROUGH BIMONTHLY PUBLIC MEETINGS HELD ON ZOOM, WITH AN AVERAGE ATTENDANCE OF APPROXIMATELY 150 PEOPLE FROM MANY PARTS OF THE UNITED STATES. WE ALSO HOST A FREE PUBLIC FILM SCREENING WITH RIGHT-TO-DIE DISCUSSION EVERY OTHER MONTH. HSSD PUBLISHES A NEWSLETTER DISTRIBUTED EVERY OTHER MONTH TO MEMBERS. HSSD ALSO MAINTAINS A WEBSITE & YOUTUBE CHANNEL WITH VIDEOS OF OUR MEETINGS & OTHER EDUCATIONAL INFORMATION ON END-OF-LIFE ISSUES. THIS MATERIAL IS FREELY AVAILABLE TO MEMBERS & NON-MEMBERS WORLDWIDE. HSSD MAINTAINS A PHONE LINE & EMAIL ACCOUNT TO ANSWER QUESTIONS FROM THE PUBLIC ABOUT END-OF-LIFE ISSUES & PROVIDES ONE-ON-ONE COUNSELING AT NO COST.
